Department of Police Services |
The Department of Police Services is comprised of the University Police division, Parking and Transportation division, Emergency Preparedness unit, Crime Prevention and Community Relations unit, Livescan and Notary Services unit, and Matador Patrol, a student-based group that provides personal safety escorts on campus. The Department is an accredited law enforcement agency that provides law enforcement and security services to the university community and is open 24 hours a day/ seven days a week. University police officers are sworn law enforcement officers whose police authority on state university property extends throughout the state, including con-current jurisdiction with the Los Angeles Police Department on the adjacent streets and community. |
